Troop Committee Meeting Tonight

Hello Scouters and Parents! This is just a reminder that there is a troop committee meeting tonight, April 3rd promptly at 7pm. Please bring any questions you might have, or issues you would like addressed to the committee. See you tonight!

After Christmas Events…

Greetings Scouters! A couple of things for the coming weeks that you need to be aware of:

12/26/2031 – No Scout Meeting!

1/2/2014 – Scout meeting! Need to get the rest of the planning together for the weekend sleepover. If you have not already signed up, make sure you get your parents permission to go with the troop.

1/3/2014 – Get your camp gear together get ready to hang out Friday night, all of Saturday, and returning Sunday. We need parent volunteers to at least provide transportation, if not stay over with the scouts. The scouts will all be going over the Youth Leadership Training, and getting the calendar for the year squared away.

Adults – Please let April or Brien know if you have any questions or if you are available to provide transportation.
Scouts – Please contact your SPL/ASPL or Patrol Leader if you have questions or need to arrange transportation.

Scout Meeting on Halloween?

… Not this year! The PLC has advised that this year, as Halloween falls on a Thursday, we will not be having our regular scout meeting on October 31st. This change has been updated on our calendar. Please update your schedules accordingly. ┬áHave fun, stay safe. And no… this is not a trick. More of a treat! :)

Our First Court of Honor

Wow! Wow. WOW! Our first Court of Honor on October 11th was arranged by our SPL Ian, who was also the Master of Ceremonies for the event.  The invocation was given by ASPL Zac, and the flag ceremony was conducted by our troop Scribe, Christian. We had a terrific pot luck dinner, followed by presentation of rank advancements, merit badges, and awards.

Rank Advancements:
– SPL Ian B to Life Scout. Next stop… Eagle Scout!
– ASPL Zachary C to First Class Scout. Well on his way to Star Scout!

I have to tell you I was very impressed by the boys leading the troop, they did such an amazing job! Boys, keep up the good work!
